Once you have paid your debts, you can record the payments you made in the Android version of the Pay Off Debt app. Recording a payment for a single debt or recording all payments will automatically update the estimated current balances on your debt. (However, please note that this is ONLY an estimate.) You can also simply edit each debt to change the current balance amount to exactly reflect that debt’s current balance.
Recording a Payment for a Single Debt
- Go to the Debts screen.
- Long tap on the debt you want to record the payment for. The Available debt actions dialog will appear.
- Tap Record Payment. A dialog will appear.
- If the payment amount matches the amount you actually paid, tap OK twice.
- If the payment amount does not match the amount you actually paid, tap Cancel and see the Editing an Existing Debt section for directions on how to edit the debt’s payment amount and/or current balance.
Note: Tapping the Record Payment button for the first debt in your list will record both the minimum payment entered for that debt and the additional amount in your snowball. Tapping Record Payment for any other debt in the list will record only that debt’s minimum payment amount.
Recording Payments for All Debts at Once
- Go to the Debts screen.
- Tap your phone’s Menu key.
- Tap Record All Payments. A dialog will appear.
- If you still want to record all payments at once, tap OK twice.
Note: Recording all of your payments at once will also record the additional amount in your snowball against the first debt in your list.
